The northeast coast of Mauritius — from Grand Gaube through Roches Noires to Poste Lafayette — is one of the island's quieter stretches, fringed by calm lagoons and protected islets. While the main catamaran departure jetties sit just north at Grand Baie and just south at Trou d'Eau Douce, the northeast is ideally placed to reach both, making it a convenient base for the northern islands and for Île aux Cerfs.
From Grand Baie you can sail to Gabriel Island and Coin de Mire or the quieter Flat Island. A short drive south, Trou d'Eau Douce is the shortest crossing to Île aux Cerfs. Hotel transfers from any northeast hotel can be arranged for both.

Which islands can I visit from the northeast?
