Choose between a leisurely catamaran sail or a thrilling speed boat ride — both delivering the same stunning destination, unforgettable memories, and a day you will never forget
An Île aux Cerfs catamaran cruise is the definitive Mauritian island day, whisking you across the sparkling southeast lagoon to the country's most famous offshore paradise. Île aux Cerfs is a picture-perfect island of powdery white sand, leaning coconut palms, and shallow turquoise water that glows under the tropical sun — and reaching it by catamaran is an experience in itself. The full-day cruise departs Pointe Jerome and begins with a light breakfast and open bar before anchoring in the island's largest lagoon for a snorkeling break among corals and colourful reef fish. The route then follows the Grand River South East to the GRSE waterfall, where you can often spot monkeys and giant fruit bats along the riverbanks. A freshly grilled BBQ lunch of chicken, sausages, fish, and salads is served on deck with unlimited drinks, followed by free time to swim, sunbathe, or try watersports on the island's famous sandbank. For a faster, more adrenaline-fuelled option, a speed boat trip to Île aux Cerfs departs Trou d'Eau Douce and follows the same highlights at full throttle. Whichever you choose, an Île aux Cerfs tour combines sailing, snorkeling, dining, and beach time into one seamless, memorable escape — the island day most visitors to Mauritius simply will not want to miss.
Île aux Cerfs is the kind of place that makes you question whether you have stepped into a postcard. White sand so fine it squeaks underfoot. Water so turquoise it looks digitally enhanced. Palm trees leaning over the shore like they are posing for a travel magazine.
Whether you prefer the laid-back rhythm of a catamaran with its open bar and sega music, or the adrenaline rush of a speed boat cutting across the lagoon at full throttle, the destination is the same — and so is the magic.

Two ways to reach the same paradise. Pick the one that matches your style.

The classic full-day cruise everyone talks about. A spacious 45-foot catamaran, snorkelling in the largest lagoon, a stop at the GRSE waterfall, BBQ lunch, unlimited drinks, and hours of beach time on the famous white sandbank.

For those who like their adventure with a side of adrenaline. Blast across the lagoon at high speed, feel the wind and spray, visit the GRSE waterfall, snorkel in crystal waters, enjoy a BBQ lunch on Ilot Mangenie, and spend free time on the legendary white sandbank.
Add an optional return hotel transfer and we'll confirm availability within 24 hours.

South East Coast
Meet at the jetty in Pointe Jerome and step onto the 45ft catamaran. The crew welcomes you with a light breakfast of tea, coffee, juice, and mini pastries. The open bar is already running, so grab a drink and settle in as the catamaran sets sail across the turquoise lagoon.
Admission Included
The catamaran anchors inside the island's largest lagoon for a snorkelling break. Grab the provided gear and jump in. The underwater world here is stunning, with superb corals and schools of brightly coloured tropical fish darting around you. It is the kind of snorkelling you will be talking about for weeks.
River Cruise + Lunch
After snorkelling, the catamaran cruises along the stunning east coast and enters the river mouth of Grande Riviere Sud Est. From the boat, you will see the waterfall cascading into the ocean and may spot the giant bat colony and monkeys on the river banks. Then it is time for the BBQ lunch, freshly prepared by the crew right on board. Chicken skewers, sausages, marinated fish, salads, and tropical fruit are served alongside unlimited drinks.
Free Time
The catamaran cruises through the canal between Ile aux Cerfs and the Anahita sanctuary before dropping you off on the famous white sandbank. This is the moment you have been waiting for. The beach here is postcard-perfect: pure white sand, swaying palm trees, and vivid turquoise water. Swim, sunbathe, or explore the island. You can also try various water sports activities available on the beach if you are feeling adventurous.
Sunset Sail
Re-board the catamaran for the sail back to the mainland. The crew keep the mood going with local sega music, a few more laughs, and drinks in hand. You arrive back at Pointe Jerome around 16:00 with a full camera roll, a sun-kissed glow, and memories that will last a lifetime.
A wide selection of food and drinks is available throughout the entire day. You will not go hungry, and you certainly will not go thirsty.
Vegetarian meals available on request. Please advise before booking.
Menu subject to change without prior notice.
Pack light, but pack smart. Here is what you will actually need for a comfortable day on the water and the beach.
Tip: Although snorkelling equipment is provided on the catamaran, you are welcome to bring your own mask and snorkel for comfort and fit. Speed boat passengers should bring their own gear for sanitary reasons.
