About This Private West Coast Charter
The west coast of Mauritius is where the wild dolphins, the dramatic Le Morne peninsula and the gentle Île aux Bénitiers all meet — and a private catamaran charter is the most rewarding way to take it all in on your own terms.
This exclusive full-day sailing departs from the Black River and Tamarin area, timed to give your group the best possible chance of a wild dolphin encounter in the morning. The spinner and bottlenose dolphins of Tamarin Bay are most active early in the day, and the crew follows respectful viewing practices so the experience stays ethical as well as exciting.
From there the catamaran heads south, gliding past the famous Crystal Rock and into the calm lagoon around Île aux Bénitiers. With a dedicated crew and the whole boat reserved for your group, you set the pace — linger over the snorkelling, swim ashore to the island’s long white beach, and enjoy a gourmet BBQ lunch served with a premium open bar.

Private boarding & departure
Step aboard your private catamaran on the south west coast. The skipper reviews the plan and is happy to tailor it to your group. The premium bar opens as you set sail.
Dolphin encounter at Tamarin Bay
Cruise into the waters where spinner and bottlenose dolphins gather. The crew respects wild viewing guidelines while giving you the best chance of a close encounter.
Sail past Crystal Rock
Glide past Crystal Rock, the dramatic limestone outcrop rising from the turquoise lagoon near Île aux Bénitiers. A must-have photograph and a genuine west coast landmark.
Private snorkelling in the lagoon
Anchor in the clear, shallow lagoon for a private snorkelling break. With only your group aboard, the crew can guide beginners and point out the best coral patches.
Gourmet BBQ & beach time
Arrive at Île aux Bénitiers. While the crew grills a gourmet BBQ lunch, swim ashore to the island’s white-sand beach. Eat on board or on the sand.
Return sail along the west coast
Re-board for the sail back. The bar stays open, music plays, and Le Morne catches the afternoon light. Arrive back relaxed and fully looked after.
